Now on YouTube: Decipher the Media #6 and #7

Here's the official videos for both episode #6 and #7 of Decipher the Media. For the future, I hope to be able to post the videos simultaneously with the audio for each episode release. I haven't decided on the frequency of episode releases, since my schedule seems to fluctuate on a regular basis, but I do plan to avoid long breaks whenever possible.

New on Wednesday, August 29th at 7:00PM ET

New for the Decipher the Media Podcast, videos will finally be up on the YouTube channel for both episode #6 and episode #7! Brandon Keenan and Gena Weiss talk about their indie film premiere: Back before the premiere of our indie film Body Farm in January, I had the chance to sit down with Brandon Keenan (Actor, Co-Producer, Co-Director) and Gena Weiss (Actor) about their roles on the production of Body Farm. And now the corrected version of Decipher #5!

So, Adobe Audition is a giant dumpster fire right now, which has been causing a lot of lost data and frustration. Even Adobe has addressed the issue . Here's hoping there's a fix soon. Anyway, long story short, I uploaded a post-crash file of the podcast, which clearly had some issues. So, here's the re-upload: Let me know if something is still not working right. I haven't gone through and tested all the current versions available for iTunes, Google, etc. I love technology. Always reliable. Anyway, check out this episode and all others available on all the popular podcast apps!

Decipher the Media #5 with Lindsey Donley and Shay Francis

What goes into the practical effects that you see on screen or stage? How do they make the makeup or effects really stand out? Well, those are trade secrets of the artists involved with this magic. However, we did touch on that work as I sat down with Lindsey Donley and Shay Francis, professionals in Makeup SFX. From their time at the Tom Savini School to their work in the indie film and theater communities, these two talk about how all this has played a very integral role on each project they have been a part of.
