Hey, everyone. I hope you are all staying safe in the crazy times that we live in. While we wait for this to all blow over, I've been working on a few things to help pass the time. I have a few more episodes of Decipher the Media in the works, despite being mostly stuck at home. It's 2020 and it's time to get motivated with New Year's resolutions! So, of course, I'm releasing an episode of the podcast that was recorded back in September. It has been a very productive couple of weeks as I make preparations to release some new content to the website. As I mentioned before, I've been experimenting with some gaming content as I capture and commentate on some of my favorite games. Finally, I plan to post several of these videos on YouTube in the course of the next couple of weeks. First, Part 1 of my Half Life playthrough will lead the pack.  Released in 1998, Half Life led the revolution of first-person shooters for the PC. Infamously, the story of Half Life never finished, leaving the franchise on a cliffhanger as the developer shifted their focus. Description: Welcome back to the 90s as I tackle a pioneer of the FPS genre. In this first part, I step into the shoes of Gordon Freeman and die... a lot. I even added a counter to keep track of the amount of deaths. This game is not very kind to me. Anyway, I hope you have as much fun watching this nostalgia trip as I did making it!

My little video game side project: play.matrix is returning with another episode! For those of you who might know, it is what some call a "Let's Play". What is that exactly? A "Let's Play" is defined as recorded video game footage, sometimes with accompanying commentary by the individual playing the game.  As it has always been a passion of mine, I've been recording a few videos in my downtime. The struggle has been finding the time to edit them together and upload them. So, coming soon is first in the line of a few I've kept under wraps. More information is to come in the next week or two!

Episode Description:  We're back with a new episode of Decipher the Media, the podcast where we discuss the creative passions and professions of the guests. While we undergo some changes to the format of the podcast, we will continue to have in-depth discussions that are both informative and entertaining. On this episode, I invited on actress Danielle Winters and actor/producer Andrew Wolf. Andrew is the co-creator and co-host of our sister podcast, Theatre N'at. Danielle is an actress that I have had the please to work with on many occasions in the past. The three of us have collaborated on several short films, including a Pittsburgh 48 Hour Film Project. Join us as we discuss many topics in the realm of film, theatre, and pop culture!

It's a new year full of new content, and the first major thing to come from Cipher Eye Media will be a new episode of the Decipher the Media Podcast. Returning for a new season, Decipher the Media will continue the tradition of interviewing art and media professionals in the area. "Interview" is used very loosely, since the conversations often turn to various topics beyond the core focus, as we discuss the interviewees interests, opinions, and more. On episode #9 of Decipher the Media, I sit down with Danielle Winters and Andrew Wolf to discuss acting, theatre, and much more. Here's the official videos for both episode #6 and #7 of Decipher the Media. For the future, I hope to be able to post the videos simultaneously with the audio for each episode release. I haven't decided on the frequency of episode releases, since my schedule seems to fluctuate on a regular basis, but I do plan to avoid long breaks whenever possible.

I just wanted to give a huge congats to all those involved on the big win at the Pittsburgh Independent Film Festival last night (June 22, 2018). The feature indie horror film was selected as Best Made in PA ! I just want to give a shout-out to KVT Productions and Nickel 17 Productions for all their hard work to get it screened in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and beyond!
