Decipher the Media #13 - Also Available on YouTube

Hey, everyone. I hope you are all staying safe in the crazy times that we live in. While we wait for this to all blow over, I've been working on a few things to help pass the time. I have a few more episodes of Decipher the Media in the works, despite being mostly stuck at home.

While I work to get those out, I haven't had a chance to plug the YouTube page as much for Cipher Eye Media, so here's my chance:

The latest episode of Decipher the Media is also on the channel. I've started filming the episodes with my Blackmagic Pocket Cinema 4K, which give the videos more of a "professional" feel, compared to the ones that were previously shot using my Canon XA20 and a Logitech webcam (for the introduction). So, go enjoy the wonderfully crisp feel as I interview guests in my dinky little "recording studio".

Obviously, I haven't been doing interviews in the recent months as the world tries to navigate the pandemic, but I have the next episode almost ready to go with more to follow! Follow my YouTube page and the website to stay connected!

Decipher the Media #5 with Lindsey Donley and Shay Francis

What goes into the practical effects that you see on screen or stage? How do they make the makeup or effects really stand out? Well, those are trade secrets of the artists involved with this magic. However, we did touch on that work as I sat down with Lindsey Donley and Shay Francis, professionals in Makeup SFX. From their time at the Tom Savini School to their work in the indie film and theater communities, these two talk about how all this has played a very integral role on each project they have been a part of. Now live: Decipher the Media Episode #5:

Even more to come.

Now on Cipher Eye Media: Geekt.

New to the Cipher Eye Media community, we will now be featuring Geekt. content on CIM's website! Covering all things in geek culture, Geekt. features videos and podcasts discussing video games, television, movies, and much, much more! I am very excited to have the opportunity to present to you this new content as part of the Cipher Eye Media network! My hope is to expand on the content that is presented to you outside of the content that I produce. As of right now, I am one-man producing team for Decipher the Media, play.matrix, and the other blogs on the side, and Andrew Wolf produces content for Theatre N'at, making our team very small. With the addition of Geekt. on our network, we have the ability to present to you more content on a more consistent basis, as well as present to you the work of talented individuals outside of the CIM network! Geekt. is also the host of their own podcast, The Blazing Fire Cast (available on their YouTube channel and iTunes). ...
